Classroom Descriptions and Responsibilities

Warm up ~ 10 min

**Journal- you need to put your warm ups in your journal (there will be no more journal work)

1. Glue, tape or write today’s question into your journal and answer.

2. Journal will be graded several times per marking period

   1. Mrs. Dameron’s homeroom will be collected on 1^st and 3^rd Monday of the month

   2. Mrs. Beloungea’s homeroom will be collected on 1^st and 3^rd Thursday of the month

   3. Mrs. Vallimont’s homeroom will be collected on 2^nd and 4^th Monday of the month

   4. Mrs. Finton’s homeroom will be collected on 2^nd and 4^th Thursday of the month

   5. All may be spot checked in between

3. Each warm up entry will be worth 2 pts.

   1. One for trying

   2. One for correct answer

4. Points for other entries will vary

Planner

Write today’s agenda in your planner

They will be spot checked for completion

Instruction ~ 40 min

1. Note taking

2. lecture

3. reading

4. independent work instructions

5. Labs

Independent work ~ 30 min

1. complete work in class

2. Turn in work when I collect it

3. When you finish work you may do one of the following

   1. Typing program

   2. A+

   3. Complete class work for another class

   4. Help someone else

   5. Read a book

   6. Write a journal article

   7. Points will vary

Wrap up ~ 10 min

1. Varies (in journal)

2. Label wrap up

   1. Retell something you learned today

   2. Free write about today’s class

   3. Write concerns about today’s lesson

   4. Explain what you did

3. each entry is 1 pt each

Journal Responsibility

1. daily warm ups

3. If you are absent you need to

   1. Get yesterdays ~or~

   2. Write absent one that page

   3. If you do not let me know that you are absent for that day you will not get the credit for that entry.

4. If you loose your journal you can

   1. Replace it yourself and get the missing entries for that section

   2. Purchase a new one from me for 50 cents
