Teachers use technology to enhance their productivity and professional practice.

Technology is an essential part of my everyday life.  I use technology to communicate with my parents, letting them know how their students do in class, of any important activities and dates that they need to keep in mind.  I maintain a website that is linked to our school website.  Here students, parents and other staff members can go to see what is going on in seventh and eight grade science. 

Students are asked to go here to complete on line assignments this year, next year they will have to access the website to complete their science fair paperwork.

Technology is also used to communicate with other staff members with in the building. It is the main communication tool that we use.  Our School uses Powerschool for our grade book.  It is a great tool to record grades as well as to print off individual reports for our students to see what they have missing and need to complete. Parents have access to see how their child is doing in any class.

The incorporation of Smart Board technology in my classroom is a brand new tool that I am learning.  This is a great tool to help students who need that visual stimulation.
